Mount Batur Trekking has long been one of the highlights of the active travelers’s trip to Bali, and Gede starting taking people up Mount Batur when he was just a child.  The Mount Batur Sunrise Trek is one of our most popular tours for good reason. Not only do you get to explore an active volcano and get up close and personal with one of Bali’s most sacred mountains, but you also get to experience spectacular views of the sun bursting onto the horizon in a riot of oranges and yellows and slowly spreading over the caldera and lake below.
After trekking, you will be transported to the Batur Natural Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in beautiful scenery before return transport to your hotel.
Rough Itinerary and estimated time schedule
Pick up time:Â We pick you up at your hotel and transport you directly to the starting point at Bali Sunrise Villas in the village of Toya Bungkah, Kintamani.
03:15 – 03:30: Our English-speaking guides will give you a quick briefing with information about your trek and the safety procedures.
03:30 – 03:45: We set off on the trail that leads up Mount Batur.
04:00 – 06:00: We continue our climb to the crater summit.
06:15 – 06:45: Arrival at the crater summit where we soak up the spectacular sunrise and views and enjoy eggs boiled in volcanic steam. There are several small traditional shops, or warung, at the summit where you can buy hot tea, coffee, or soft drinks.
07:00:Â We continue our trek with the possibility to trek around the entire crater.
08:00:Â We begin our descent to Bali Sunrise Villas, the finishing point of our trek.
09:00 – 09:30: We arrive at Bali Sunrise Villas, and proceed to the Batur Natural Hot Springs
10:30 – 11:30: After a relaxing visit at the hot springs, we will board the air conditioned car or mini-bus for the return trip to your hotel.

Punctual collection and a great walk with lots of encouragement. Luckily I had a superb sunrise. When I got down I went off to the Hot Springs to relax. A fab if long morning definitely 5 star.
