🌟 Patung Dewi Danu — The Gold Goddess Statue Rising gracefully near the lakeshore, this striking golden statue depicts Dewi Danu — the Balinese goddess of lakes, rivers, and water. She is one of the most important deities in Balinese Hinduism, believed to be the source of prosperity and fertility for the island’s farmers and people. 💀 Kuburan Terunyan — The Terunyan Cemetery Perhaps the most extraordinary stop on the lake, the Terunyan Cemetery belongs to the Bali Aga — Bali’s indigenous people — who practice one of the island’s oldest and most unusual burial traditions. Rather than cremating or burying their dead, bodies are placed beneath a sacred Taru Menyan tree, whose fragrance is said to neutralise any odour.
